Top Tips for Taking Advantage of Your Tokyo Disney Vacation Package

Nowadays, a trip to any Disney park requires lots of preparation and study to really maximize your time.

Getting a Tokyo Disney vacation package definitely helps with guaranteeing some of your top priorities, but there are still ways to make the most out of it! And now that I’ve experienced the Tokyo Disney vacation package, here are a couple things I think will help make your experience better!

Vacation Package Details

Every vacation package comes with different offerings, so you’ll need to find the one that works best for you. Check out my previous post about my vacation package experience to learn more about that.

It’ll come as no surprise that the price of the vacation package can be pretty steep, especially if you compare the pricing to how much it would cost to book hotels and park tickets separately, and this is why I like to maximize my time since I know I’m splurging on the experience.

Tip #1 - Be on time to your reservations

If your vacation package comes with timed reservations to any attractions, make sure you are on time for your reserved time slots!! In the US they’re usually pretty lenient with the time, so if you miss your window, they’ll usually let you on, but in Tokyo Disney this is not the case! They’re quite strict with the time, so if you miss it, you won’t be allowed on, and you won’t get a new one.

If you have the Special Attractions ticket, you won’t need to worry about this, since you’ll be able to get on rides whenever you’d like.

Tip #2 - Divide and conquer for food & drink

Every vacation package on offer comes with a beverage ticket for each person in the party.

At dining establishments, one person can bring all the beverage vouchers with them to claim all the drinks, so the group can divide and conquer! If you have a larger group, each person can take on a different role to make things more efficient for the group. Particularly if people want to eat other things, splitting up will help save time so you don’t all have to keep waiting in lines or wait until you’ve gotten all your food and drinks to find a table.

I found the best way to optimize time food and drink is to mobile order the food, head to the restaurant a little early, and have one person get in line to order drinks at the counter while the other person picks up the mobile order. Whoever finishes first can start looking for a table.

Tip #3 - Use the beverage ticket to get into mobile order-only food establishments

As of Feb 2025, Snuggly Duckling and Royal Banquet Hall of Arendelle in Fantasy Springs are still mobile-order only restaurants. This means that if you want to enter the restaurant, you’ll need to show the cast members your mobile order pickup confirmation in order to be allowed in.

However, if you have a beverage ticket, all you need to do is show them your beverage tickets and they’ll let you in right away! (They’ll also let you know that you can only order drinks).

This was really helpful for us since I didn’t want to eat at the Royal Banquet of Arendelle, but I really wanted to see the inside of it, so the beverage ticket was perfect for that!

At Snuggly Duckling, this was a great way for us to get in before our mobile order was ready and find a table, since Snuggly Duckling is consistently busy.

Tip #4 - Get a variety of drinks

The beverage ticket doesn’t only apply to soft/fountain drinks! Any specialty non-alcoholic drink is eligible to be claimed with the beverage ticket (so get all the Coffee Tapioca Lattes you can!). I loved using the beverage ticket to try out all the interesting seasonal speciality drinks! Some of these drinks I wouldn’t necessarily want to buy, but since I had the beverage ticket, I got to try everything I was curious about!

Another interesting thing I wasn’t aware of until my second visit: soups count as beverages! If you want a cozy corn chowder or some other soup at any dining establishment, you can get those with the beverage ticket too!

And finally: bottled drinks. It’s nice to have a convenient bottle on hand so you can easily store your drink for when you need it. Water fountains also aren’t super easy to come by around the park, so just get bottled water with your beverage ticket and stay hydrated! Note: you of course need to show your beverage ticket to cast member to claim your drinks, so vending machines are not applicable here.

Tip #5 - Keep your vouchers in an easy to reach pocket

You’ll need to show your vouchers to a cast member whenever you’re trying to get your drinks or get on a ride. I like to keep these vouchers in an easy to reach pocket or safe place since we were using these many times throughout the day. Also make sure you don’t lose them!!

To ensure I don’t lose vouchers, I also only brought the ones I planned to use that day - but make sure you’ve accounted for all of them so you don’t leave one that you need behind!

Tip #6 - Claim your original goods & shoulder bags at the store closest to your hotel

Each person in the party gets a vacation package original goods voucher that they can claim at any time during the trip at any park merchandise store. I would recommend holding off on this until the end of the day or the end of the trip (unless, of course, you want to use the items right away!)

At Tokyo Disneyland hotel, I found it easiest to go to the Disney Mercantile after the park closed. That way I could bring my items back up to my room right away without having to carry them around all day.

At Fantasy Springs Hotel, I claimed my items at the Fantasy Springs Gift shop right before I was heading back to my room, so that I could easily drop it off. The Fantasy Springs gift shop is inside the Tokyo DisneySea park, so you’ll need to do this before the park closes and before you leave for the day.

I didn’t use any of the original goods I picked up, so it was best for me to claim them toward the end of the trip / end of the day.

These are just a couple of small, easy tips that I think help optimize a Tokyo Disney park day with a vacation package. I hope you try these out and that they help make your day more successful!

As always, leave any questions you might have below and I’ll answer them as soon as possible!
