Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package Review: ‘Enjoy Attractions Even More’
If you’re planning a trip to the Tokyo Disney Resort, you’ve most likely come across the various vacation packages the resort has to offer. In this post, I’ll be going over all the details of the Tokyo Disney Resort vacation package, including how to book it, what comes with the package, the price point, the experience of having a vacation package, and the pros and cons!
I’ve visited the Tokyo Disney Resort parks a few times in the past by booking tickets and hotels separately (see my Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel blog posts if you want to see more about those!), and this was my very first time booking a Tokyo Disney Resort vacation package, and I was really excited about it! So let’s dive in!
Note: My specific package was the ‘Enjoy Attractions Even More 3DAYS’ package. Some vacation package benefits are the same across all packages, but some benefits are specific to the package. Make sure to check the details of any vacation package that you are looking at to determine if what it offers works for you.
Feel free to jump ahead to the section that interests you most!
What is a Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package?
Vacation packages offered by Tokyo Disney Resort are essentially a bundle of lodging, admission tickets, and extra perks that guests can reserve as a single booking (typically for trips that are 2-3 days long). It takes the guess work out of everything so you don’t have to purchase your hotels and tickets separately, or book dining options on your own. Vacation packages also typically come with additional exclusive benefits that I’ll get into later as well which are pretty nice!
The exact configuration of package offerings vary throughout the year, so the same packages are not always available. You’ll need to check the Tokyo Disney Resort website to see what packages are available for your trip and determine if it makes sense for you.
How to Book a Vacation Package
Booking a vacation package is a fairly easy process!
First you’ll want to determine what vacation package you want to book by visiting the Tokyo Disney Resort website.
Date of Visit
Fill in your information like the date you want to visit (this is the date of check-in), how many days you’ll be visiting and how many adults and children you have. Package offerings may not be available for the chosen check-in date so you may need to have some flexibility on dates.
Availability Calendar
If you’re flexible on the dates of your stay and want to see in general what dates are available and for which hotels, you’ll want to check the Availability Calendar, which requires a little bit of hoop jumping to get to.
First you’ll want to enter in a date of check-in like above, and start the search. If the plan is not available for the date you chose, you should see search results with ‘Sold Out Plans’. Otherwise you should see the plan in the regular search results. From there, click the ‘For details click here’ button. If the plan is available, you’ll see a blue Reserve button that you can click to move forward with finishing your reservation.
Otherwise, if it’s a sold out plan, you’ll see a ‘Check Availability’ button. Clicking this button will bring up another modal where you’ll choose the month you’re visiting. This will load the available bookings for the whole month (and be patient, this part takes a while). For each date, there will be an red X or a blue O to indicate if there are available vacation packages for that check-in date. It may be the case that all bookings are completely sold out, so you may want to look into a different vacation packages or keep checking back to see if any new dates show up.
If you find an available date here, click the blue O to show the available hotels that are bookable with the vacation package (also note the price ranges for each hotel).
In this example March 18, 2025 is one of the dates in March 2025 with availability and the available hotels are Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and Disney Ambassador Hotel. If the availability matches your requirements, click the blue Reserve button to continue the reservation.
Accommodations
Based on the availability for the package, you’ll be able to choose from the different Tokyo Disney Resort hotels that you can stay at for the duration of the trip. Within each hotel option, there are also different room options to choose from as well. Your choice of hotel and room affects the total price, so if you’re looking to be economical, you’ll want to be conscious of the options you’re choosing.
If packages are mostly sold out, you might have fewer room options to choose from, but if there’s a lot of availability there will be plenty of options.
Tokyo Disney Resort hotels have different price point tiers (luxury, deluxe, moderate, and value) so the vacation package price will vary accordingly based on the hotel choice.
Dining Reservations
Depending on the vacation package offerings, some meals may be included with the package. After choosing your accommodations you’ll be brought to a modal where you can choose your dining options.
For the included meals, they are typically offered in one of the restaurants of the hotel you’ll be staying in. For these, you’ll only need to choose the time at which you want to dine. My package came with a breakfast reservation at Sherwood Garden Restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for Day 2 and Day 3.
Example dining reservation modal for included reservations
For optional meal reservations, the vacation package is simply a convenient way to book a reservation at some of the popular dining options in the parks and hotels. To book optional meals, you’ll need to choose the restaurant and the time slot that you would like. The cost of the meal is not included in the reservation, so you will be paying for this separately. You also have the option of choosing ‘No Reservation’, which is personally what I chose to do.
Completing your Reservation and Payment
From there, all you’ll need to do is confirm your reservation details and make your payment! Vacation packages are charged in full at the time of booking. You’ll also have up until 20 days before your stay to cancel for a full refund.
Be aware that charges are made in Japanese Yen, and cancellation at a later time will result in a refund based on the currency exchange rate at the time of cancelling, so you most likely will not get the exact amount back even if there is no cancellation fee.
Also note that if your credit card does not waive foreign transaction fees, you will pay an additional fee for that as well, which I believe will not be refunded.

As mentioned above, vacation package specifics vary by package, but here’s what came with the vacation package that I booked, ‘Enjoy Attractions Even More!’.

Vacation Package Details
Vacation Package Pickup
As a foreign guest with a vacation package, I needed to pick up my vacation package tickets and contents at my hotel on the first day of the package. (I believe domestic guests can get the package shipped to their home before the vacation starts)
At the hotel, I went up to the reception desk to notify them that I was picking up my vacation package details. The cast member provided me with my vacation package folder that contained our itinerary for the trip and all the vouchers that we needed, including our park tickets, breakfast reservation vouchers, goods vouchers, beverage tickets, and special attractions tickets. Do not lose these vouchers!!
All the admission tickets for each park and each person are included in the folder. I would recommend scanning these tickets into your Tokyo Disney app so that you can use either the paper ticket or the QR code in the app when entering the park. The tickets also need to be scanned into the app in order to get any standby passes, premier passes, or entry requests.
The Special Attractions tickets are valid for a single day, with the date printed on the voucher. You’ll need to show these to cast members to enter the Premier Access entrance for rides throughout the day, so you’ll likely need to access these tickets quite a bit. There should be one Special Attractions ticket per person per park day.
The beverage tickets are valid for all of the park days of the vacation package, so you’ll need to hang on to the same tickets for multiple days.
The breakfast reservation vouchers are valid for the whole party for each reservation. My package came with two vouchers, so each morning that we went down for breakfast (on Day 2 and Day 3), I gave the cast member the corresponding voucher to confirm my reservation.
Each package also comes with a popcorn bucket voucher (with one order of popcorn) for the party. I would recommend looking up which park has a popcorn flavor that you want to try and use your popcorn voucher there. But if there’s multiple flavors that you want, then any will do!
Note: after April 2025, you’ll be able to choose from the current souvenir popcorn buckets being offered, not just the Vacation Package original one!
Milk Tea popcorn order with the Vacation Package-exclusive popcorn bucket
Food & Beverages
With the ‘Enjoy Attractions Even More!’ vacation package, we had a beverage ticket voucher per person that was valid for the 2 days we had at the parks.
With this beverage ticket, you can go to almost any food establishment and show the voucher to the cashier to get a soft drink for free. This ticket allows you to get any of the fountain drinks as well any specialty park drinks that are non-alcoholic or even soups.
I was able to use this ticket at every food restaurant or establishment I went to, so I think the only places excluded are vending machines.
It’s important to note that you can’t apply this to a mobile order so you’ll always have to order in person if you want to claim the free beverages. Additionally, this doesn’t cover meal sets that come with drinks - the drinks need to be ordered separately from the meal sets.
You can get drinks as often as you like, and all people in the party don’t need to be present to claim the drinks as long as the person ordering has all of the vouchers. Bottled beverages are also included!
With the beverage ticket, we were able to get 7 drinks per person throughout the day at each park, so we totaled around 28 drinks over the course of our package! This also includes specialty non-alcoholic drinks, which typically cost more (around 600 - 700 yen).
Who is this Vacation Package for?
Depending on how you like to spend your time at the park, a vacation package such as this one may or may not be worth the high price point.
If you are a person who loves the Tokyo Disney rides, you will definitely get a lot of value out of a trip like this. I could ride The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast over and over again, and I would love it just as much every time. Rides are one of my favorite parts of visiting the Tokyo Disney parks, so if you’re like me, and funds are permitting, I would say it’s worth the splurge! What I really loved about having this package was that I could ride all the rides I wanted as many times as I wanted, and I still had time to see the parade and fireworks shows, eat the foods I wanted to try, drink lots of soft drinks, and explore parts of the park I never really took the time to enjoy on my previous trips!
However, if you like getting the best view for shows and meeting character, this might not be for you. To my knowledge, there aren’t any available vacation packages for international guests that offer priority seating for shows, so you may be better off trying to purchase the DPA when you get the parks for your shows of choice.
My Vacation Package Experience
Day 1 - Tokyo Disneyland
Transportation to Tokyo Disneyland
Coming from Tokyo, we got a very early start to our morning. If you’ve ever been to Tokyo Disneyland, you’ll know that people are there well before the crack of dawn waiting in lines to get into the parks, so we wanted to be as early as possible to get our place in line as well.
We left Tokyo around 5:00AM to catch the first train from Tokyo to Maihama Station using the JR Lines. From Maihama Station, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is a very short walk away. And already, on our way to the hotel, we could see a huge queue forming for the security entrance!
Entrance queuing for Tokyo Disneyland
From there, we queued up at the security line to enter the Tokyo Disneyland entrance queues. For hotel guests and guests with Happy Entry, there is a separate security entrance that is much shorter than the general guest queue, which is a huge benefit.
Around 7:00AM, they allowed guests through security and into the main entrance queue area where we lined up again until the park officially opened around 8:45AM. The posted opening time for Tokyo Disneyland is typically 9:00AM, but the park can open as soon as 30 minutes before the official posted opening time, so if you want to be there right when it opens, take this into account.
This waiting time is a good time to get all your tickets scanned into your Tokyo Disney Resort app if you haven’t done so already.
This might also be a good time to set up a game plan for what attractions or food spots you’re going to hit up first.
Tokyo Disney Resort App
For efficiency it’s nice for everyone to have the app downloaded and to have an account. The main reservation holder can add every person to a group and you only need to scan the tickets into your phone once for everyone in the group to have access to it. This will make it easy to get standby passes, entry requests, etc. since I found that sometimes my phone wouldn’t have good reception but someone else’s would. This way you have the best chance at getting the passes you really want.
Standby Passes
As soon as your tickets are scanned through the entrance kiosk, you’ll be able to start booking and requesting standby passes, priority accesses passes, entry requests for shows, etc. Claim these as soon as possible because they run out very quickly, especially if something’s in high demand.
Standby passes can be a little tricky because they’re not always necessary, but for high traffic seasons or when certain merchandise has a high demand, standby passes can be required for anything from capsule toy machines to shops in addition to rides.
You can only have one active standby pass at a time, or, if your standby pass is for a later time slot, 2 hours after you obtained a standby pass. So for these passes, you’ll want to know what your priorities are since you may have to miss out on some things for others.
During my trip, Lil Ring Ring ornament capsules were highly coveted, so they had a standby pass for the capsule toy machines that had them. We were luckily able to grab a standby pass for one of the spots at 1:45PM, but those were all snapped up in the first 15 minutes of the park opening.
Rides and Attractions
Using the Special Attractions ticket to get on all of the rides was super easy!
All we had to do was go to the Premier Access entrance and show our Special Attractions ticket for the day and we were let into the queue immediately. Queues for the rides were never more than maybe 20 minutes maximum all day long! Imagine waiting just 10 minutes to ride The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast??
Of note: the Special Attractions ticket is only applicable to a subset of the rides at the park - primarily the rides that typically have the longest waits and support Disney Premier Access. So the smaller rides - like Peter Pan’s Flight, Pinocchio, and Snow White for example - are not included in the Special Attractions ticket, so to ride those rides, you still need to wait in the standby queue.
But really, this ticket is truly the golden ticket. With the Special Attractions ticket, we were able to ride The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast 4 times, Pooh’s Hunny Hunt 3 times, Happy Ride with Baymax, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Star Tours, and Monster’s Inc, all with the Special Attractions Ticket! And we were still able to shop as much as we wanted, get all the snacks and drinks we wanted, and catch the shows!
Staying at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
I love the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, and I’ve already written my review about this hotel in a previous blog post (so check it out if you’re interested!), so I was very happy to be staying here again.
During this trip, I chose the Cinderella character room to experience something new, and it was incredible! Our room was actually a 1-bedroom suite, which I didn’t actually know at the time of booking, but it was such a pleasant surprise because the room was so beautiful and spacious! We also had a beautiful view of the gardens! Here are some photos of the room to check out:
Day 2 - Tokyo DisneySea
Breakfast at Sherwood Gardens Restaurant
My vacation package came with two breakfast reservations at the Sherwood Gardens Restaurant inside the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. Our first breakfast reservation was on Day 2 of the vacation package.
As mentioned above, if a meal is included in your package, all you need to do is choose the time of your reservation. Since I wanted to get to DisneySea as soon as possible, I chose the earliest possible breakfast reservation time which was at 6:30AM.
We arrived at the restaurant entrance and a cast member was there to check our breakfast voucher and bring us to our table.
Sherwood Gardens Restaurant is buffet style, so after being brought to our table, we were each able to order a hot coffee or tea, then go to get our food.
There are lots of food options to choose from, some Japanese dishes, but mostly Western-style dishes, and plenty of different drinks and desserts/pastries to choose from as well. The food here is pretty decent. I enjoyed the selection and was sufficiently full, though I would probably not make a deliberate effort to eat here if it wasn’t included in the package.
Entrance queuing for Tokyo DisneySea
We finished our breakfast and used the Disney Rail Line to get to Tokyo DisneySea from the Tokyo Disneyland station around 7:15AM.
At the time of my vacation package (Dec 2024), hotel guests at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel were not eligible for Happy Entry to Tokyo DisneySea, so needed to enter the park through the general admission lines.
By the time we arrived at the Tokyo DisneySea entrance, the lines to enter were so incredibly long! The crowds were very intense at the entrance, and there basically were not anymore lines but rather a whole mob of people trying to get through the security area. Lots of people were pushing and cutting past each other, it felt very chaotic and pretty unpleasant.
It was so crowded, I don’t actually know what time the park officially opened and general guests were allowed into the park, but I did not get into the park until 9:15AM.
Fantasy Springs
One of the key benefits of the vacation package was the Fantasy Springs Magic pass for Tokyo DisneySea which offers unlimited access to the Fantasy Springs area and Premier Access to all of the Fantasy Springs rides. At this time, Fantasy Springs was only open to general guests through a Standby Pass, which you would need to try to claim as soon as you enter the park.
With our Fantasy Springs Magic pass, we headed to the Fantasy Springs area and were allowed in by scanning our tickets. We received Fantasy Springs wristbands that we needed to show whenever we re-entered the Fantasy Springs area or whenever we scanned our tickets for Premier Access on the rides.
Fantasy Springs Rides
Fantasy Springs was such a beautiful land to visit - definitely a new favorite spot of mine! The land has four rides - Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure, and Tinker Bell’s Buggies.
The Frozen and Tangled rides were definitely crowd favorites and were constantly busy while the Peter Pan rides did have some lulls throughout the day and evening. All of the rides are so much fun and all of them are so beautiful! Really take the time to enjoy the queue as well, because every detail is incredible!
There are also so many cute photo spots, and all of the rock formations are so cool to see in the daytime and the nighttime!
Fantasy Springs Food
There are two restaurants, a popcorn cart, and a small food stall inside Fantasy Springs. The two main restaurants are The Royal Banquet of Arendelle and the Snuggly Duckling - both of which look absolutely incredible inside, going in to check it out is a must!! These two main restaurants require mobile orders to enter. However, if you have a beverage ticket, you’ll be allowed in without a mobile order! You can only order drinks, but it at least allows you to enjoy the restaurant without having to order food!
Gift Shop
Fantasy Springs only has one gift shop, which is located next to the Fantasy Springs Hotel park entrance. This shop contains all of the Fantasy Springs themed souvenirs. I actually wish they had more shops in the land - one is simply not enough!
Other Rides & Attractions
Within Fantasy Springs, the Fantasy Springs Magic admission ticket was our ticket for the Disney Premier Access on all of the Fantasy Springs rides. Outside of Fantasy Springs, we needed our separate Special Attractions ticket for the other rides in Tokyo DisneySea.
As fans of Toy Story Mania, we took this as an opportunity to ride this ride as many times as we could! If you’ve been to Tokyo DisneySea before, you’ll know that the Toy Story Mania standby line is always around an hour or more long. With the Special Attractions ticket, we could just get right back in line and go again! This ride is exactly the same as the Toy Story Midway Mania in Disney’s California Adventure (except it’s in Japanese), so I typically wouldn’t ride this ride since it’s also in California. But being able to ride it several times in a row is a rare opportunity anywhere!
There are several other popular rides in Tokyo DisneySea that you can access with the Special Attractions ticket, but we focused most of our time on the Fantasy Springs attractions and Toy Story Mania and we had a great time!
In total, we were able to ride 14 rides this day! A day well spent!
Day 3 - Checking Out
Breakfast at Sherwood Gardens Restaurant
The last day of our vacation package came with another breakfast reservation. Since we weren’t going to the parks on this day, I chose an 8:00AM breakfast reservation. The restaurant was significantly busier than the previous day when we arrived at 6:30AM, so I would recommend if you like the calm and quiet, to choose an early reservation. We weren’t in any rush this time so we took our time, enjoyed our food, and left when we were full!
Sherwood Gardens
Tokyo Disneyland has beautiful gardens that are serene and nice to check out. We took a stroll through Sherwood Gardens, walked through Mickey and Friends square, and took our time enjoying the hotel before our check-out time at 12:00PM.
We also made a quick trip to Bon Voyage to check out the merchandise before leaving the Disney property.
How does it all add up?
If you’re like me, you probably want to know how the math breaks down.
So here’s the cost breakdown of my recent trip!
Notes
Exchange Rate and Pricing
The USD prices are based on the exchange rate at the time of my trip in Dec 2024.
All of these prices are based off of my trip as a party of 2 adults.
Special Attractions Ticket
When calculating the benefit of the Special Attractions Ticket, it’s hard to quantify its perks in yen/dollar amount because even if you’re willing to pay to reserve Disney Premier Access passes, time slots can run out, and there’s a cooldown period after you reserve each one. The Special Attractions Ticket allowing you to get on any of the supported rides at any time throughout the day is a huge perk that can’t really be measured. But for the purposes of this exercise, I counted each Premier Access usage based on how much the Premier Access passes cost on the days of our trip (2,000 yen per person).
Vacation Package Original Goods
Original goods, which are offered to vacation package guests, aren’t sold as is so there’s no exact price for these items. For these items, I’m basing the price estimate off of similar items that are sold at the park (i.e. the VP Mickey shoulder buddy price is estimated to be a similar price as other shoulder buddy characters).

Vacation Package Spend and Assessment
In total, I paid 423,800 yen ($2,643.30 USD) for my vacation package.
Based on our usage, the sum total value that we got out of this vacation package was 444,960 yen ($2.775.26)! And as I mentioned, this doesn’t account for the fact that we were even able to use Premier Access 11 times at Tokyo Disneyland and 14 times at Tokyo DisneySea. The access is really something that’s hard to quantify, and even then we were able to get so much value out of our vacation package!
Not to mention, we were able to do so much in addition to all these rides throughout our days. We took our time exploring the shops; we visited different parts of the park we hadn’t visited before (and played the carnival games in both parks several times!); there was just so much this package allowed us to do on top of riding our favorite rides as many times as we wanted.
Is the Vacation Package worth it?
If I haven’t yet made it abundantly clear, my answer is a resounding YES!
This was probably one of the best trips I’ve had to Tokyo Disney yet! I love how everything is nicely packaged and the experience is so smooth! Queues at Tokyo Disney Resort are no joke, and if you dislike waiting in lines for rides as much as I do, I think this would be great for you too!
Price-wise, there’s some adjustments you can make to reduce the cost by staying at different Tokyo Disney Resort hotels. While I haven’t stayed at the Ambassador Hotel or the Celebration Hotel, I can attest to the wonderful experience of the Toy Story Hotel! Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Fantasy Springs Hotel, and Hotel MiraCosta have the additional advantage of being right at one of the parks, but in exchange for the cost savings you’ll have to do some additional minor travel to get to the front gates. But find what works for you!
If a vacation package doesn’t sound like the right vacation for you, no worries! You can still have an amazing time at the parks by booking your own vacation!
Stay tuned for some tips I’ve got that I think will help you have a successful Disney trip, vacation package or not!
