Tokyo Disney Resort: Fantasy Springs Hotel Review
Fantasy Springs Hotel is the latest of the Tokyo Disney Resort hotels. But is it the greatest? Let’s find out!
I stayed at the Fantasy Springs Hotel for 2 nights in the Fantasy Chateau in January 2025. In this post, I’ll be going over my experience staying at the hotel from the room to the Fantasy Springs Restaurant, to the exclusive Tokyo DisneySea entrance for hotel guests. I’ll discuss all the perks of staying at the hotel, what I loved about it, and what I think could have been better. Interested to know if Fantasy Springs Hotel is worth the hype? Read on to find out!
About Fantasy Springs Hotel
Deluxe and Luxury Type
Fantasy Springs Hotel joins the Deluxe (Fantasy Chateau) and Luxury (Grand Chateau) hotel types in the Tokyo Disney Resort hotel offerings. If you’re not familiar with the Tokyo Disney Resort hotels, they offer 4 types of hotels - Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Luxury - which are associated with the price point and general perks offered at each hotel.
Chateaus
Fantasy Springs Hotel is unique in that it offers two different chateaus - at separate price points and offerings - within the same hotel. The Fantasy Chateau is the more affordable side of the hotel that is in the Deluxe tier while the Grand Chateau is in the Luxury tier and offers a lot of additional exclusive benefits to guests staying there.
Grand Chateau
Since I didn’t stay in the Grand Chateau, I don’t have a lot to add here experience-wise, but very briefly the Grand Chateau comes with some exclusive experiences.
Included in the room reservation cost are attraction tickets as well as show viewing tickets, which will guarantee guests entrance times to both select attractions and shows of their choosing. All the guest rooms in the Grand Chateau also have balconies with views of the park, and the rooms themselves appear to be more intricate and luxurious than those in the Fantasy Chateau.
Additional benefits include an additional 15-minutes’ early access to Fantasy Springs before other Happy Entry guests (so that’s 30 minutes of early entry to the park!) and an exclusive entrance to the parks separate from other Fantasy Springs Hotel guests.
Fantasy Chateau
The Fantasy Chateau, which is the side I stayed in, consists of a majority of the rooms in the Fantasy Springs Hotel. These rooms do not have any additional perks on top of the exclusive Tokyo DisneySea entrance from the hotel, which can be used by all Fantasy Springs Hotel guests.
Prior to January 2025, staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel allowed guests entrance to the Fantasy Springs land in Tokyo DisneySea without a standby pass, but this is no longer the case as all guests can now enter the land without restrictions.
There’s greater price variety when staying in the Fantasy Chateau side since there are more rooms with different views and configurations, so you could get a more affordable room by staying in the Fantasy Chateau.
Dining
Fantasy Springs Hotel has two dining locations that are open to all guests: the Fantasy Springs Restaurant and the Grand Paradis Lounge. Additionally, they have La Libellule which is a French dining restaurant that is exclusively available to Grand Chateau guests.
Fantasy Springs Restaurant
The Fantasy Springs Restaurant is a buffet-style restaurant that guests can dine at for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We dined here twice for breakfast, which was included in our vacation package reservation. The food available at the buffet had a mostly Western style to them, but they did have some more Japanese style breakfast items like miso soup, Japanese curry, and some side dishes.
The restaurant has several dining rooms, each decorated beautifully. The main dining room is the Tangled room which has some beautiful Tangled artwork on the walls. Other dining rooms in the restaurant have a Sleeping Beauty and Snow White theme.
Grand Paradis Lounge
The Grand Paradis Lounge, which is the beautiful circular dining area that you can see as soon as you enter the hotel lobby, is a lounge area where guests can enjoy sweet treats, drinks, and small bites.
Perks of Staying in Fantasy Springs Hotel
Aside from getting stay in a really beautiful place surrounded by Disney touches, I would say the best perk about staying in Fantasy Springs Hotel is the exclusive Fantasy Springs entrance!
The Tokyo DisneySea entrance is right outside of the Fantasy Springs Hotel entrance. You can see it as soon as you get off at the Bay Side Station from the Disney Rail Line.
This entrance is super convenient, and super quick, especially compared to the general Tokyo DisneySea entrance. And it places you right between Arendelle and Peter Pan’s Neverland, so you’re just a short walk away from the Fantasy Springs rides!
Throughout the day you can also use this exclusive entrance to exit and re-enter the park as long as you have your “Proof of Stay” card which you get at check-in. This way, only hotel guests can use this entrance, making security a breeze.
The Fantasy Chateau Room
When I stayed at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, I stayed in the Fantasy Chateau.
Our room had two twin beds, a television, a small table with two chairs, a large couch, and a closet. Each room also comes with a mini refrigerator, water bottles, a kettle, some coffee and tea, pajamas and slippers, two eco bags, and some themed cups and hygiene products like toothbrushes, wash towels, and combs.
The Decor
In keeping with the decor that you can see from the hotel lobby, there are lots of florals and flower motifs throughout the rooms. The corridor of the guest rooms have paintings from stories like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Princess and the Frog, and Bambi which are also present in the rooms.
The main film represented in the Fantasy Chateau room is Tangled with Rapunzel-style paintings on the closet door and the sun mural in a framed print on the wall. There’s also a little Pascal camouflaged in the bedpost!
I love the little Disney touches in the room and finding the cute little Easter eggs like the Bambi and Thumper on the wall!
Amenities
Most of the in-room amenities are mentioned above, but there are also some additional amenities that you can request from the front desk. These include things like a clothing iron, deodorizing spray, shoe dryers, and other items.
I love the Fantasy Springs themed eco bags that are provided in the room. You are given two eco bags for every night of your stay. Since we typically get turndown service while we stay at the hotel, our room is usually restocked with the additional amenities by the time we return for the night. But if you prefer not to utilize the service, you should request the additional eco bags the following day(s). Also be sure to ask for extra water bottles if you need them as well!
My Review of the Fantasy Springs Hotel
What I Loved
The Decor
Every time I see a Disney character integrated into the hotel decor, it makes me smile. And because of that, there were no shortage of smiles during my stay. I loved seeing the references to different characters through the artwork and the florals on the walls. Seeing all of the Tangled references throughout the hotel was so beautiful and touching.
The floral theming throughout the hotel was also very beautiful. I particularly loved all of the intricate looking light fixtures! And the lobby is just absolutely gorgeous. The second I walked into the lobby I was amazed!
Fantasy Springs Hotel, and Fantasy Springs the land, have no shortage of beautifully carved rocks around the exterior. I especially loved how intricate the Rose Court rocks looked, but it’s hard to pick a favorite when there are so many beautiful ones to see, especially in the park!
The Exclusive Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Entrance
This might just be my favorite part of staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel. Quick and convenient access to the park is a game changer, especially when you’re the type of person who wants to pack their day to the brim!
Unlike other exclusive hotel entrances (like the Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta), the Fantasy Springs Hotel entrance puts you right in the center of Fantasy Springs. You don’t have to rush or walk super far to get to the place you most want to go (which, let’s be real, is most likely Fantasy Springs).
The crowd to get in is essentially non-existent (especially if you compare it to the general admission entrance at the front of the park), and you don’t even need to get on the rail line or anything - you literally walk out the front entrance and you’re at the park!
The Cast Members
This is true across the board whenever I’m at Tokyo Disney Resort, but I always so appreciate when the cast members are kind. Every cast member I interacted with while I was at the hotel was so courteous and so nice! Great service can never be overstated!
What Could Be Better
I will start off this section by emphasizing that I do actually LOVE staying here, and will definitely be coming back. That being said, there are still things that I would love to see improved.
Identity/Theming
This is the thing I think I struggled with the most when thinking about my experience here, and it might just be because Disney, especially Tokyo Disney, always goes above and beyond and exceeds all expectations when it comes to creating an immersive experience. I already mentioned how beautiful everything was, and I truly do love it; however, when it comes to thinking about the identity of the hotel, I felt like they didn’t really have one.
Fantasy Springs the land has a really strong focus on Tangled, Frozen, and Peter Pan, with sprinkles of other Disney characters throughout the land - primarily in the rock formations. The identity of the land feels very focused, and I guess I thought the hotel would be similar.
In Fantasy Springs Hotel, however, you lose practically all of those main stories. The only story that has a strong presence is Tangled - we don’t see Frozen or anything Peter Pan throughout the hotel. The lobby, while beautiful, feels more floral and topiary-focused than Disney. There’s lots of flowers, plants, and butterflies (and a giant peacock), where I feel like maybe a more subtle Disney reference would have been appreciated and would have lent itself more to overarching theme.
I loved seeing the Rapunzel references in the hotel bedroom, but the Bambi and Princess and the Frog pieces just feel a bit confusing. Don’t get me wrong, I love Princess and the Frog and would love to see more of Tiana everywhere, but if that’s the case, I would have loved for Princess and the Frog to be a central story.
The story behind Fantasy Springs is quite beautiful - the fantastical springs water unites fabled lands and brings us to all these magical stories. So I can see that the stories showcased in the hotel all have water in them, but I would have loved if the main theming of the hotel matched the strong theming of its park counterpart. It just felt like they brought in a bunch of characters but without a clear story behind why they were included.
Activities
Anytime I visit a hotel, one of the first things I love to do is explore the grounds. As far as Fantasy Springs Hotel goes, there isn’t really much to do. They have the Rose Court which is a small area that contains a Beauty and the Beast themed rock formation. They also have a balcony where guests can get a nice view of the Fantasy Springs land in Tokyo DisneySea. Other than that, there isn’t much else to see.
Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by Toy Story Hotel. The theming at Toy Story Hotel is incredible and they have a really cool scavenger hunt that guests can do to encourage them to explore the hotel and all of the fun things it has to offer. Since Fantasy Springs Hotel is a newer hotel, I was expecting Fantasy Springs Hotel to take it another step further in the guest experience, so I couldn’t help but be just a tad disappointed.
The Room
I have a small issue here with regards to amenities. I was quite surprised that the rooms don’t have clothing irons in them. At a hotel of this caliber, I would expect that the rooms are all equipped with an iron. And as a person who doesn’t like feeling like I’m bothering the staff, it’s quite inconvenient to have to call down to the front desk and ask for something like an iron and wait until they bring it up to your room.
And while I’m nitpicking, I did find that the beds and pillows in these rooms were notably less comfortable than the beds in the other hotels.
Gift Shop
This came as such a surprise to me that Fantasy Springs Hotel doesn’t have a gift shop. Each of the Tokyo Disney Resort hotels have their own gift shop located inside the hotel. This is where guests can buy some hotel-exclusive items and some select additional park merchandise. It’s a great spot to visit if you forgot to grab something in the parks that you wanted since this store is usually open after the parks close. Or if you want to get some last-minute items before you check-out from your stay, you can stop by without having to enter the parks. The only available Fantasy Springs gift shop is the one that’s inside the Fantasy Springs land in Tokyo DisneySea, which is just kind of a bummer.
Conclusion
Overall, I had an amazing trip and had a wonderful stay at Fantasy Springs Hotel.
Tokyo Disney Resort continues to impress and deliver on top-tier experiences. The hotel is a gorgeous place to visit and still feels very grand once you step foot inside. The cast members always make the experience special with their kindness and patience!
Any small nitpick that I had about what I would love to see improved is only borne out of Tokyo Disney’s unique ability to create the most magical things imaginable.
Would I come back to stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel? Absolutely! The exclusive Fantasy Springs entrance is enough to convince me that this is THE place to stay when I’m visit Tokyo Disney Resort! I love it here and truly can’t wait to come back, and maybe next time I’ll be able to book a room in the Grand Chateau 👀.
